Reunion Class Van

The College will rent each class a van and the corresponding fee will be included in your final invoice from the College. This van is typically driven by student workers and is used to transport reunion supplies and alcohol between venues.

Other Transportation Options for On- and Off-Campus Travel

In addition to your class van, other transportation may be necessary as follows: transporting classmates with disabilities from location to location, transporting classmates from one end of campus to another, transporting alcohol from venue to venue, or bringing classmates to off-campus events.

Student workers will be certified to drive the vans; however, those under 21 years of age may not drive a vehicle containing alcohol unless accompanied by someone who is 21+. All bartenders will be 21+ years of age; student workers may not be.

The following vehicles are reserved through Dartmouth College, Advancement Events:

Please contact Megan Castelot at megan.l.castelot@dartmouth.edu or (603) 646-2337 for more information or to reserve transportation.

For off-campus transportation to class events, we recommend the following options:

School buses are typically the most economical depending on your size group. They seat 50 people and are $75/hour, plus travel time to and from their original bus lot location.

Charter buses are much larger buses meant for a more comfortable, lengthy ride. They seat 54 people and are about $800 plus mileage and are subject to a minimum time requirement.

To reserve a school bus or charter bus, please fill out the Transportation Request Form and submit to Megan Castelot by May 15.

Parking for Classmates

  • Each class will receive several reserved parking spaces near its residence halls. These are to be used for your rented vehicles.
  • Guest parking can be in one of two lots: Thompson Arena or the Dewey Lot.
  • Thompson Arena is at the south end of campus (by the hockey rink and soccer fields) and serves the East Wheelock Cluster, Ripley Woodward Smith, Fayerweather, and New Hampshire residence halls.
  • The Dewey Lot is at the north end of campus (the Medical School) and serves all other dorms.
  • Encourage classmates to unload at the residence hall, then park in one of the two lots. If they arrive Monday through Friday, 7 am–7 pm, they can catch the Advance Transit shuttle back to their residence hall. It runs a loop around campus every 10–15 minutes.
  • "No Parking" signs are posted around campus and are expected to be adhered to for safety reasons.
  • The Town of Hanover parking meters do function during reunion week so it is still possible to get a ticket if parking on streets.
