REUNION PLANNING

All reunion registrations are done online. Classes may choose to send intentions surveys or postcards with letter mailings or tucked into printed newsletters to save on postage.

Your Class Activities liaison should review all class communications – print or digital – before distribution to your classmates.

End of September

Stationery details and set-upreunion chair sends to Class Activities staff:

  • Reunion theme
  • Reunion logo
  • Reunion Planning Committee members’ names, titles and contact information (preferred email and phone)
  • Preferred layout of logo and committee members’ names for letterhead (see example)
  • Return address to be used for paper mailings, if applicable

First Week of October

Fall communication to classmates – reunion chair sends to Class Activities staff:

  • Include in the communication:
    • Reunion dates
    • Theme
    • Anticipated events, including those offered by the College
  • If electronic:
    • Send draft to Class Activities for review
    • Class to send communication through iModules or other class electronic communications system
  • If paper:
    • Will you include an intentions postcard? If so, send in text and design (see example)
    • Paper color and type
    • Single or double-sided
    • Black & white or full color
    • Mailed first or third class

End of October

Newsletternewsletter editor submits to Angela Stafford ’91:

  • Include in the communication:
    • Reunion dates
    • Theme
    • Anticipated events, including those offered by the College
  • If electronic:
    • Class to send communication through iModules or other class electronic communications system
    • Don’t forget to also post your newsletter on your class website
  • If paper:
    • Will you include an intentions postcard? If so, send in text and design (see sample)
    • Paper color and type
    • Single or double-sided

November and January

Early February

Winter communication to classmatesreunion chair sends to Class Activities staff:

  • Include in the communication:
    • Reunion dates and theme
    • Preliminary schedule
    • Attendance list created from returned intentions cards
    • Kids program schedule (if applicable to your class)
    • Other information to get your classmates excited
  • If electronic:
    • Send draft to Class Activities for review
    • Class to send communication through iModules or other class electronic communications system
  • If paper:
    • Paper color and type
    • Single or double-sided
    • Black & white or full color
    • Mailed first or third class
  • Best Practice: For clustered reunion, consider collaborating with the other reunion chairs in your cluster to send one full attendance intentions list.

March

    • Kids program schedule (if applicable to your class)
    • Other information to get your classmates excited
  • It is strongly advised to send this communication electronically:
    • Send draft to Class Activities for review
    • Class to send communication through iModules or other class electronic communications system
  • Best Practice: For clustered reunions, consider sending highlights of cluster-mates’ schedules, as well as the full attendance intentions list
