2nd Monthly “Third Thursday” Lunch in NYC - 12/17/2009

For our first minireunion of the day, five of us met for lunch at Virgil’s BBQ near Times Square. Attending were Chip Fauver, Carl Briscoe, Otho Kerr, Mark Winkler, and (for the first time ever attending any Class of ‘79 reunion or minireunion) Fred Darche. We had just missed seeing Richard Conn who had dropped by Virgil’s but couldn’t make the connection with our table there. Rich has just returned to the US and NYC after living for many years in Moscow. We hope to hear his many stories at our next minireunion.

For our second minireunion later on the 17th, we had hoped to meet at Celsius on the Pond in Bryant Park for after work drinks and eats. However, since Celsius was booked for an exclusive (yet non-79) event, we retreated inside to The Campbell Apartments at Grand Central Terminal. Attending this event were David Kelley, Laurie Rosenfield, Beth Blatt and Mark Winkler. However, we talked about and shared stories about many. many other classmates who were not able to attend…with most being very, rather and quite interesting.
