1966 Generosity – giving or sacrificing something of your own to help others. It’s a quality that all of us New Yorkers, and people throughout the country, have marveled at since September 11th. Generosity of spirit, of time, of talent, of resources. Some have sacrificed income or comfort while others, tragically, have made the supreme sacrifice of life. It’s been a truly remarkable display of the human spirit.
On a different, but not insignificant level, the Class of 1966 displayed remarkable generosity to the College this past reunion year, contributing more than $1.1 million of the $23 million total required for the Dartmouth College Fund. Our collective interests and inclinations cover a wide gamut of civic, community and charitable activities, but when the 2001-2002 College Fund materials cross your desk, please be sure to keep Dartmouth among those institutions you support.
