CLASS NOTESJanuary 1968



   Best wishes for a healthy and prosperous New Year to the growing Class of 1966 family.

Word from London reveals that Dave Slaney, studying at the London School of Economics, and Karen Miller Seay, a Wellesley graduate who has been in the Mod City for a year, have been married.

On this side of the Atlantic in New York Eric Hess and June Lee Reed were married early in December. June graduated from the Harding School in Charlotte, and Ric, after attending Dartmouth for one year, graduated from New York University and recently completed six months' active duty in the Army.

On December 28 Ensign John Peterson, presently in pilot flight training at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, and Mary Elle Morres, a Florida girl who graduated from Pensacola Junior College, were married.

On the 29th, Columbia Business School second-year student Dave Anderson and Emily Elizabeth Smyth, a 1966 graduate of Colby Jr. in her fourth year of Cornell's School of Nursing in New York, were married in Auburndale, Fla.

Michigan State senior Merrell Lynne Frankel and Fred Gordon are engaged and plan a June wedding. Fred is in his second year at NYU Law. Robin Williams and Mary C. Bridgman are also engaged. Mary is an engineer with Turner Construction Company in New York having graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Robin teaches at Dublin School for Boys in Dublin, N. H.

From the military we hear that private, John Coughlin completed an eight-week administration course at Ft. Ord. Army Second Lieutenant Pete Neill was assigned to the 5th Artillery at Camp Page, Korea in early October. Walt Knoepfel is working Defense Counsel (courts and boards) for the Army at Ft. Belvoir, Va.

After putting in a year in the security a bond department of Chubb & Son in New York, Neil Castaldo has enrolled in his first year at Vanderbilt Law SchooL ...Tim Butterworth is an English teacher and hockey and lacrosse coach at Vermont Academy ...Mickey Handelsman is studying organic chemistry on a teaching fellowship at the Graduate School of New York University...John Garrison has received his Masters of Arts from Ohio State University.

Other '66's out in the world include Tom Vosteen, a French teacher at Central College in Medina, N. Y. ... John Miles is the night manager of the Erb Memorial Union at the University of Oregon ...Arthur Chicaderis is working in the field of social wellfare for the State of New Hampshire ...and Robin Carpenter is with Bache & Co., Inc. in New York.
